“At least for me I feel like the big two have lost the faith of the audience and that’s why new books fail. People are afraid of getting invested in something because before the first issue hits you are anticipating the book getting cancelled by issue 6,8, or 12.”

But then you get something like HAWKEYE or MS. MARVEL that the creators have gone on to say weren’t expected to make it past issue X, so I think it’s all about quality. I invested in HAWKEYE because I’m not a huge physical collector, but he was my favorite character drawn by an amazing artist. The writing hooked me further. Now we have a 22 issue character bible that no one thought would make it. Hell, I was against it because the previous HAWKEYE solos were God-awful. But here you get this beautiful run that only grew in popularity. So I can’t really agree with the poster here. But I can commend Marvel on taking more chances with titles artfully crafted creatively. I didn’t think BLACK WIDOW would last this far, but here I am still buying it and it’s a beautiful book. Books come and go, but it seems like you guys have a good grip on the foundation of launching “risky” books. Now give me some DR. STRANGE and ANT-MAN and I’ll be happy!
