My attempt at No-Prizing Uatu's eyes; We've seen a number of characters in the MU whose eyes turn all-white when they are using their abilities. Storm is a great example of this. So, the same thing happens with Watchers' ability to see all, and since they've charged themselves with ALWAYS watching this ability is never 'off'. We've never seen their eyes as anything other than white. But once the eyes are removed, they're no longer actively 'watching' and take on a normal appearance.
