  • (About using the same characters and not using a character due to Writer not enjoying them) But Tom there is so many characters on the X-side and so many that keep getting recycled thru out the X-line. Storm , Beast , Wolverine (I know he's about to bite it) are on multiple books, and sometimes Writers do their best work when they work on a character they were not very fond of. How many interviews have I heard writer say how much they now enjoy a character they never thought they would write.

That sometimes happens, sure–but in those instances, something motivates them to write the character in question.

Forcing somebody to write about a character or characters they don’t feel any attachment to rarely leads to good stories.

In the same way that, were I to force you to read a book every month that you didn’t like and had no attachment for, that wouldn’t suddenly make you love it.
