Although I'm glad that X-Men are getting more solo series, they're all of old characters. If I'm not mistaken the most recent X-Character to have ever had a solo is X-23 (unless you count Generation Hope). Why do you think recent X-Characters have such a hard time not only getting a series, but even sticking around once their creator leaves the book?

I think that’s not a situation that’s unique to the X-titles, but exists for every book in the line. And a lot of it has to do with the interests of the creators that follow. Any new character isn’t a character that the next creator has any particular investment in–they didn’t read stories about them when they were younger, they never fell in love with them when they were children. So unless there was something in that character that created a spark, either within the next creator or within the audience such that the next creator feels obligated to pick them up and continue to use them, they tend to fall by the wayside, because you want that creator telling stories that interest them and that matter to them in order to get them to do their best work.
