Even if you talk exclusively about Marvel Comics, have you completely forgotten about the work of Kurt Busiek, Mark Waid, Frank Miller, John Romita Jr, Scott Lobdell, Alan Davis, Alex Ross, Peter David, Liam Sharp, Gary Frank, Adam + Andy Kubert, need I go on?

    But have you forgotten about the teeming mountains of absolute crap that surrounded it?

    Any era has its good stuff and its bad stuff.

    5. kwibs said: Comics only got amazing on a larger scale once they stopped trying to be collectible. Vertigo didn’t do gimmicks and just focused on quality, and that’s where a lot of the people who’ve carried us into our current era were working in the 90s.
