I really enjoyed the most recent issue of Captain America, but doesn't the eternal hype machine for WHATS NEXT kinda ruined what should have been a decent cliffhanger?
Well, sure. But that’s the eternal trade-off. I want the stories to work and to matter, but it’s also important to get people on board to read them. So sometimes, you make that trade-off. Having that announcement on the Colbert Report (and just last night having Colbert talk about it all again on Seth Meyers’ show) was worth having to sacrifice the suspense of a single cliffhanger.
