i have to ask how come Storm and Wolverine haven't shown to be together in the comics for such a long time? I mean its been implied for at least since X Men The End. It was even implied further in Rick Remenders X Force in AoA. I just feel like it would have been an incredible story arc that really would have uplifted both characters especially Storm. Its like Wolverine was always associated with Jean and Storm with Panther no matter how much time passed. Am i wrong?

Yes, you’re wrong. Wolverine and Storm have been a couple of sorts for something like a year now.
