Was Eric o'Grady and Stature only killed off to cement Scott Lang as Ant-Man? That was bogus story telling. Both those characters had fans and Scott Lang only appeals to you writers and editors who are nostalgic for the Michelinie comics.

First off, in fairness, Scott Lang seems to appeal to a lot of people making movies as well.

But no, neither of those stories was done to cement Scott Lang as Ant-Man. Look at how long ago they were undertaken.
