Why has Black Cat's reputation been ruined just because she got beaten up by Spider-Man? What about all the other supervillains that Spider-Man beat up, their reputations weren't ruined, hell, one of them took over American national security, and even among the underworld guys like Kingpin and Owl never have their reputaions ruined from getting beaten up.

Why do people distrust Spider-Man but like Captain America, even though both of them wear masks?
Different characters are different, and the world reacts to them differently.
