Does the sliding time scale ever get annoying? And how do mutants who's powers don't make them more durable sometimes take hits that should knock out or kill people? Are mutants just more durable and age better/slower as a baseline?

1) Not especially, no,. You just have to understand how to use it.
2) This is heroic fantasy, where people fly through the air. So I don’t worry about it especially.
