I heard people on forums talking about a potential Marvel reboot ala DC New 52. Is there something to that rumor? And if not, did Marvel ever consider something like that? One would assume that it would open up a lot of new stories instantly and give the opportunity to correct some things. However, I personally don't see that happening, becausae that would be straight up doing / immitating what DC has done. What DC has done badly, because the New 52 is kinda ... confusing and stupid at times.

People have been talking about that possibility consistently for at least as far back as 1985 and DC’s CRISIS.
I think that would be a good way to tell a lot of the same stories over again. It doesn’t seem especially additive to me. The Marvel Universe isn’t broken, so it doesn’t require fixing.
That all said, you never know what we’re going to do tomorrow–change is the watchword, after all!
