Was it necessary to dig into the false concept that until Demon in a Bottle, Tony was always drunk? Not only that, but also this story puts Tony in a pretty bad place, and considering Iron Man is already a character some people find hard to root for because of the misconception that he was like a dictator during Civil War...

Well, wait and see. But I don’t think that it’s at all a misrepresentation that, before he went on that trip, was hit by that mine and became Iron Man, Tony Stark was a rich party person. I don’t think that’s a false concept at all. It’s not being Iron Man that made Tony an alcoholic, it was his lifestyle, and that was in place long before he put on his first pair of cast-iron tights.
