I don't really have an axe to grind and I don't like bandwagoning like other people do, but is it fair to say that Greg Land's artwork drives me away because it seems a little too "uncanny valley" for me? I know he doesn't trace on every page, but it's hard to avoid and I'm not fond of that style. Give me Lieber, Acuna, Anka, or Opena any day of the week.
As I’ve said time and time again, that’s perfectly fine–you’re well within your rights to not buy and not support Greg’s work.
It’s the campaigning to essentially blackball the man out of comics that I can not stand.
If you do not like the work, then you are not required by any stretch of the imagination to buy it or to even look at it. But there are others that do like it.
