Do fans approach you with the same type of "enthusiasm" face to face as they do on here? I would assume that "anonymous" gives fans the equivalent of "liquid courage"? - Julio.

No fan has ever been rude to me in person. Hasn’t happened in 25 years.
Our fans are great, enthusiastic, passionate, interesting people with a love of fantasy fiction.
The behavior you see on the Internet is the same behavior that you see for fans of anything. It’s the ease of communication coupled with anonymity that allows social conventions to fall by the wayside, and for people’s worst selves to come out.
