I hate Marvel messing with their characters. First they rob Lloyd Bloch of his power and give it to some unknown, destined for obscurity (Karla Sofen, like that will last). Then they keep trying to push this Songbird down our throats; when Screaming Mimi was such an established character, she’ll be in limbo in no time. If they wanted some hero called Songbird they should have just made a new one, and leave the character of Mimi alone. Eddie Brock had several successful mini-series as Venom; giving it to this “war hero” Flash to force a new on-going on us (LOL; that will be cancelled within 8 issues). I’ll never forgiven Marvel for recently taking away my Avengers. Iron Man, Thor, Ant-Man; THOSE are true heroes, Earth’s Mightiest. Now we have three hoodlums in Cap’s “Crazy Stupid Idea Quartet”; push for… god knows what reason as “Avengers” (*snicker*). Earth’s Silliest Excuse for Heroes, more like. Cyclops! Cyclops has always been leader of the X-men that’s what Xavier intended, that’s what’s always been written in canon print since the comic began, yet now some weather witch from Africa will lead the X-men. In two years she’ll be in limbo and Scott will be back, so what’s the point? She’ll be forgotten, and her leadership seen as ‘dark times for the X-men’. Bucky being dead is integral to Cap’s character, it just doesn’t work with him back, it ruins the whole pathos of it. And for what? So he can fail as a hero, and be limbo’d after? Thanks a lot, Marvel! Magik was one of Marvel’s best kid heroes, and now she’s aged to adulthood for what? The brother/sister bond of Colossus/Magik mattered most due to her being young and needing his protection. Emma Frost… oh, I almost forgot that one, Emma Frost will ALWAYS be a villain, now some Gen X writer is trying to pretend she cares about mutants and can be a good person? Don’t make me hurl, she’ll never becoming anything more than a one-time X-men and go back to being one of the 'big bad’ by the time the next event comes around. And who the hell is this MJ Wat-who cares? Gwen Stacy will be resurrected any day now, so to waste any more time in a love interest that is destined to go no-where… POINTLESS!!!

UGH! Why Marvel? Why don’t you understand you can never make changes that will stick and be successful. And best of all I know categorically, hindsight will prove me right about all the above examples, my powers of seeing the future, I KNOW I am right about all these. And all changes are doomed, doomed, doomed to failing. Always. Forever. Never works. End of story. Close thread.
