Even though I like Thor God of Thunder, I find the Minotaur annoying. He's basically a Captain Planet villain with his whole "Roxxon will bleed the Earth dry of it's resources mwahahaha" and it's thus impossible to take him seriously. There's a difference between an amoral capitalist and a capitalist that enjoys destroying things, it completely fails as a criticism of real world oil companies.

It doesn’t need to be a criticism of real-world oil companies, though–it needs to be a rousing good adventure story.
