Hi Tom! I've noticed in some books (like NEW AVENGERS), you're credited with a co-editor (or "with:"). How does that work? In my experience, editing is usually a one-person job, or at least not a job with multiple people with the same title. Is it like a consultation with the primary editor having veto? Honestly, I'm just asking because I want to know how to manage a team with multiple editors (eg how much hierarchy to have), not because I want to know who to send my pro-Namor hate-mail to :)
On books where the credits read Tom Brevoort with Somebody Else, I am the primary editor, but the person most directly assisting me and operating as my second possesses the title of Editor. So I credit them that way as well. Plus, given my larger duties, those folks who are assisting me typically have to be more involved than the typical assistant or associate editor in a typical support position.
