The death of wolverine storyline just got me thinking about this because by now that character has died multiple times and even been to hell and back and that must leave some psychological scars.

Living through multiple deaths is a uniquely comic book experience and I’m just curious if any writer has explored it minus the snark that usually surrounds the issue of character deaths and resurrections.>

I don’t know about to the extent that you’re talking about, but it’s been at least played with in the past.

Back in the 1970s, when he was first resurrected from seeming death, Wonder Man was gunshy–he’d freeze in battle–because he was afraid of dying again. So that’s one example, though it wasn’t dealt with to the sort fo degree that you might be talking about here.
