How about asking Remender why "serum-less" Cap, who was around 20 when he got the serum, served in WW2 no more than 5 years, was then frozen, then revived no more than 10 years ago (according to Marvel's timeline), looks to be about 75 when he's only 35, tops?

If you actually read CAPTAIN AMERICA #21, you’d see that it wasn’t as simple as the Super-Soldier Serum being neutralized, but the Iron Nail enervating Cap as he attempted to shut down the Gungnir ship.
