  • Chris Yost recently said that there is editorial trouble using the students at the X-Men school. Why? Most of them (especially the New X-Men generation) are just background characters that hardly ever even get lines. And Wolverine, Storm, Beast and Iceman show up in multiple books a month, why can't 2 writers use the same X-kids?

I don’t know the context of what Chris said, or even when he said it (heck, if he said it). But there are often times when what a writer wants to do with a given set of characters flies in teh face of what the general direction is for those characters, or what is planned for them. This isn’t exclusive to the X-Men kids, but to anybody.
