  • On the subject of creators returning to series at which they did great runs, I think that an even better example than Michelinie/Layton is Frank Miller returning to Daredevil and producing a story that surpasses his first run and is the best Marvel story, IMHO. Do you agree?

    I don’t know if I could go so far as to proclaim it the best Marvel story, but it’s certainly a contender for that title, sure.

    Other fans came up with Peter David on X-FACTOR and Paul Levitz on LEGION as two other examples. I think maybe Paul’s third go-around on LEGION may have soured his track record a little bit, but there you go.

    Still, it’s a very rare thing.
