New Brevoort Formspring

Why has Thunderball of the Wrecking Crew, a genius once called the "black Bruce Banner" a guy smart enough to create a miniature gamma bomb, now been reduced to acting like every common street thug in the MU? I realize he's been in cahoots with Wrecker et al for a while, but he's now become a grunt with nothing intelligent to say. Is there at least an issue that shows why he's acting like a common bruiser with the intellect of a grapefruit?
