In the early Stan lee/ Kirby x-men run did only characters given the yellow and blue outfits considered x-men? Like quicksilver and Wanda didnt count?

Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch were both members of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants in those days, battling the X-Men. So they most certainly did not count as X-Men.
