Wasn't the MAX comic by Chuck Austen called U.S. War Machine a weekly comic back in 2001? I am pretty it was more frequent than monthly since 12 issues came out between Nov - Jan . You can look it up on the Grand Comics Database
Yes, you are correct. Those twelve issues did come out weekly (or at least most of them did.)
