I like the Cap movie Winter Soldier, but really wish they wouldn't resort to the grey/black color scheme costumes so often in comic movies. All of SHIELD, Hydra, The Widow, Falcon and Winter Soldier were all so drab- it gets kind of boring visually. Characters like Cap and Iron Man work in colorful costumes- why do the movie studio guys think everyone else has to dress like powerful goths?

What works as drawings on the printed page doesn’t always work as effectively in real life.
Just look at any Batman costume. As good or bad as they’ve been, none of them has ever been especially scary, not in the way in which the comic book Batman is depicted.
Different mediums have different requirements.
