I'm guessing that DC's line wide reboot is something of a success (As you point out, we don't have true sales info), but if it is, what does that tell you about the comic buying audience at large? I.e. that they don't care about history? Batman and Superman are strong enough without continuity? DC's audience are almost all new readers? Readers respond to the talent working on the books as opposed to characters? Is there anything substantive that you glean from this?

People are attracted when big, excited things are happening (or seem to be happening.) I don’t know that there’s anything more substantive to be gleaned from it than than. And from what I can tell, DC’s bled off 98% of the additional readers that showed up for those launches–which, in fairness, happened two-and-a-half years ago.
