I saw on Bleedingcool that the Marvel events since AvX haven't done so well sales wise, is there any truth to that?

No.
While AVENGERS VS X-MEN did extremely well, our Event series since it have all done very well indeed.
This is kind of like comparing the box office returns of THOR: THE DARK WORLD or CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER to AVENGERS. They all did well, but AVENGERS was a particular juggernaut.
