Is there a point in revisiting Spider-Man's origin in 1.1 AGAIN? I'm pretty sure every single person reading ASM already knows it, regular readers have read the original and dozens of retellings of varying quality, even new readers know the origin from themovies, cartoons and pop culture.
AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #1.1 isn’t a retelling of the origin.
I hate to use this example, but it’s more akin to something like the Zero Year storyline that’s been going on in BATMAN (though very different in approach and tone than what Snyder & Capullo have been doing.)
Either way, though, if you feel like it’s not for you, you can always give it a pass.
