Does it bother you, as an editor, when you put something out there with a character and creative team that looks like it'll set the world on fire and then reading public just doesn't respond, numbers-wise?
Bother isn’t quite the right word. It’s unfortunate, and it’s never fun. But if you do this for any length of time, you realize that this is the game. It’s art, not science, so it’s possible to do everything right and still end up with a title that doesn’t catch on. So really, all you can do is put forth your best effort every time, and then the chips are going to fall where they fall.
