Point taken: Guardians was successful due to movie anticipation as well as the creative team. Maybe a better example is Moon Knight: third-rate character who's never sold well, but got a strong start due to Warren Ellis. Best case scenario: the book's a hit, the character becomes popular, and that lasts even after Ellis leaves. It at least gives MK a better shot than if a lesser name had written this series. So why not continue using popular creators to launch titles that could use the boost?

So you’re saying why don’t we do things like MOON KNIGHT?

Didn’t we just do MOON KNIGHT?

So doesn’t that prove that we are doing things like MOON KNIGHT?

Lawyered!
