  • Point taken: Guardians was successful due to movie anticipation as well as the creative team. Maybe a better example is Moon Knight: third-rate character who's never sold well, but got a strong start due to Warren Ellis. Best case scenario: the book's a hit, the character becomes popular, and that lasts even after Ellis leaves. It at least gives MK a better shot than if a lesser name had written this series. So why not continue using popular creators to launch titles that could use the boost?
