Do you really think the interest in the Hawkeye and Black Widow comics is being driven by the movies as opposed to what's on the page? Any store owners I've asked have always said that movies/TV shows don't drive comic sales much. Walking Dead is probably the exception to the rule.

Yes. Of course. Absolutely.

There are exponentially more people interested in Hawkeye and the Black Widow today than there were a few movies ago. And that interest translates into potential sales for a HAWKEYE or WIDOW series. By itself that’s not enough to guarantee the success of such a book–you still need to deliver the goods to that audience. But the basic bar of interest for both of those characters is much, much greater than it’s ever been before.
