Did you ever have creator at Marvel, who would reject working on big-name character/team in favor of less popular one? I heard Clayton Crain picked drawing Ghost Rider over Captain America, but maybe there are others. Is it common or rare occurence?

It’s a frequent occurrence that a particular creator may want to work on one project over another. So sometimes that fits the parameters that you’re talking about, yes. I don’t know that I could quantify how often that happens specifically, though.
