About "popular characters get more exposure because they are more popular" topic - that approach creates visious circle. Popular characters are better know so more pewoplewant to write them so they get mroe exposure so they become more popular so even more people want to write them, while less popular characters end up struck in limbo and only dragged out to be killed (see: Avengers Arena). It marginalizes fans of those characters and made them feel uwelcome in the fandom, driving them away.

That’s not really accurate, though. You cannot make a character popular simply by featuring them all the time. All you get i that instance is a comic that a lot of people aren’t buying.

We love all of our various characters, and all of the fans of them. I do think it’s a little bit extreme to feel marginalized because a character you like isn’t featured as much as you’d like or as often as you’d like.
