Tom, do you ever test colorists and artists together to see if its a good fit? or do you just go "oh hire ____"? Because I've started to really notice how certain colorists work with certain artists, and noticed there are some pretty terrible collaborations in some Marvel books.

Sorry you feel that way. But as with any assignment, we try to get the best people for the gig, and that includes taking the wishes of the artist into account when selecting a colorist. If you’re seeing a consistent pairing that you don’t like, then chances are it’s a pairing that the artist is in favor of and does like.
