  • Hey Tom. I just wanted to say that the way you guys have been doing events for the last few years has kind of made me reevaluate my perspective on comic book events and comics in general. If there's a high profile story arc or event in comics and the comic isn't biweekly or it gets delayed beyond a month I forget all about the last comic by the time the new issue gets here. That's one of the primary reasons that All New X-Men and Superior Spider-man are my favorites now.

I think that’s becoming typical, actually. As the speed with which people consume media in all forms increases, and binge-consuming becomes more and more the norm, that one month wait between installments starts to feel like an eternity. It’s one of the situations we grapple with, because while we double-ship stuff as often as we can, doing so has an effect on the content of the books–primarily in who creates them, especially on the art side. But I expect that you’re going to see greater-than-monthly shipping become more the norm as time goes on. Not to single it out for any other reason than example, but doesn’t it feel like a hugely long time since FOREVER EVIL started? That’s why we’ve transitioned our events more towards the model that we not try to follow.
