"Bryan Hitch to Peter Bagge to Humberto Ramos to David Aja to Mike Allred to Jae Lee" Not trying to be an ass, actually love your response to this- but what do you think it says about the industry that we can bang out 5 or more male comic artists off the top of our heads but often, at least for mainstream comic READERS, it's difficult to even name more than 3 female artists. At moment's notice, I can name Piccheli and Staples. (both are incredible at their work). Is more recognition needed? Thnx

I think that’s simply a reflection of the fact that, for a very long time, comics have been a male-dominated field, both in terms of creators and readership. But that’s been changing steadily for decades, so it’s likely that you’ll continue to see that change reflected in the books in the future, as more female artists come up who are interested in drawing our books.
