about the MCU: I got back into comics and comic book characters in general because of the movies. I grew up with the X-Men 90's cartoon and dabbled a bit in the comics here and there at the library and such. But only when you hinted at Thor in IM2 did I really start to become a huge comic book nerd. I don't know why that was the trigger. X-Men, Spider-Man, Blade movies I LOVED but it never once compelled me to pick up the books. the MCU did for whatever reason. Maybe bc they embrace the comics?
