Hi Tom. Responding to yesterday's question about whether the MCU has brought new readers into Marvel comics or just encouraged old readers to return: my answer, while necessarily anecdotal, falls very much on the "yes, new readers!" side. Post-Avengers, Hawkeye (& then Captain Marvel) encouraged a lot of us non-comics readers to give Marvel a try, and now - almost 2 years later - the vast majority of my friends and I have (big) Marvel-heavy pull lists and subscriptions to Marvel Unlimited.

And since you bring it up, our VP of Digital Products, Kristen Vincent, would like to tell you:
While we once were a little slow at filling in comic gaps in Marvel Unlimited, we are now laser focused! Each month 60 newer titles naturally flow into MU because they are now 6 months old, but we add 80-100 each month. The additional issues are all back catalog filling in gaps. We’ve recently completed full runs of Iron Man and Thor and are very close to having full runs of Avengers and Captain America. In addition, we take fan requests all the time for particular backlist issues that people email in or tweet to @MarvelSupport. We don’t have space issues and are actively trying to provide the largest archive possible for MU members.
