    Because that’s not the same thing. And I’d argue that Marvel books have never been geared to children, not in the way you mean–they were always written and drawn and aimed at a somewhat older audience. That still appealed to children, because kids always like things that aren’t talking down to them and that appear intended for an older audience. But Stan wasn’t aiming at what he used to call the “bubble gum brigade” in his stories.
