Is the paint on caps shield vibranium too? Why doesn't it scratch? So fake. Also the names of the helix strikers are so unrealistic. Much more so than a floating aircraft carrier. And oh my god talking raccoons??? Seriously??? All of which leads me to my question why can't comic fans suspend disbelief given the subject matter? Love your work.
It’s the double-edged sword of comics. We love them for their fantasy and imagination, but especially as we get older (and want our entertainment choices to be taken seriously by other people) we worry about certain aspects of them being too silly. And here we are.
I remember one of the meetings we had where it was decided that we’d kill Hawkeye during AVENGERS DISASSEMBLED, one of the points that was raised was that it was ridiculous that somebody could take on criminals packing automatic weapons with a bow and arrow. And the rejoinder was that a blind man doing the same thing with a billy club was more plausible?
