  • This is definitely fanciful thinking on my part, Tom, buy can you imagine how good Morrison's New X-men could have been if somehow Frank Quitely had been capable of providing artwork for the entirety of the run? Did any part of the art troubles in those issues play a role in editorial deciding to allow John Cassaday the time to draw all of Whedon's Astonishing X-men issues?

    The problem with that idea is that if this were the case, that run still wouldn’t be done.

    And no, no real connection between the two.
