We don’t ever try to do stories that are throw-aways, but when fans such as yourself speak about books like this having a “real impact” on the franchise, you tend to be looking for something very specific–your question here, for instance, assumes that your interpretation of Nightcrawler is what will be in evidence in the solo series. And maybe it will, and maybe it won’t. It’ll be Claremont’s interpretation, certainly. And it won’t be a different Nightcrawler than the one who’s been appearing in AMAZING X-MEN. But I don’t know that I can promise you in any way that the NIGHTCRAWLER solo series is going to be driving the overall storyline for the X-Men franchise or anything of that sort.
