  • In regards to the books that ship twice a month is there a specific reason why they are not just shipped once a month but with double the page count? I'm not sure if this was even considered as an option but I'm just curious if it was a decision made for storytelling reasons like thinking comics read better in short bursts at 22 pages or whether it was more of a financial decision, with Marvel being unsure if people would bite at a larger price for a single issue even if the value was the same.

In terms of the margin (the profitability of a particular release) we do better on two regular-sized issues than we do a single oversized issue. Plus, having releases that come out more often than monthly helps to drive traffic into the stores more often.
