I'm ever more obtuse but I thought you were Executive Editor. Where I also get confused is Wacker and Rosemann obviously have to be replaced but, in view of Marts' title, is he going to be a full-time editor? And if not, I presume there's another hire or two coming?
Executive Editor is one of my titles, yes, but we’ve had more than one Exec before–back when both Axel and I held that rank. Like myself, Marts is going to be editing books directly, but he’s also going to be working to strategize broadly across the whole line, and be involved in our top-level planning. And Bill Rosemann doesn’t need to be replaced, his title change is simply a reflection of the direction his responsibilities have grown in, but he’s still doing exactly the same sort of thing he was doing the day before (including editing AVENGERS UNDERCOVER)
