You're saying that Kirkman's is having his moment and moments pass, yet his fandom and the Walking Dead series seem to be pretty strong to me- much stronger than 90% of Marvel's properties. Also it seems like we could throw that assessment around towards some of your biggest names as well- I certainly don't think Bendis' sales have matched his first two or so years of Avengers. Has his moment passed?
You’re working awfully hard to manufacture a feud between myself and Robert here. Isn’t there some more productive way you could be spending your time?
Kirkman and I worked together a lot when he was at Marvel, and we still get along fine. I’m happy for the success that he’s achieved, and I hope it continues. Doesn’t mean I agree with everything he says–but that wasn’t true when he was doing stuff for Marvel either.
And like anybody else, as soon as Brian’s books stop selling, his moment will have passed also. But he still seems to be camped out there at the top of the sales charts, so it hasn’t happened yet.
