  • Why doesn't Marvel make Shang Chi Iron Fist? It's actually a popular idea going around the web and having Iron Fist actually BE Asian would work wonders. Picture Kun Lun being to Asians what Wakanda is to Wakandans. It'd be diverse. I have trouble picturing people accepting the fact that a non-Asian is A) essentially trying to be *them* and B) Kicking the crap out of the *them*. There's no doubt Asian fans are left behind comic wise. Pushing Shang or making him IF would solve things QUICKLY.

    I see your point. But I don’t know that I’d try to solve it by making Shang Chi Iron Fist. On a purely mathematical level, that gives me one character rather than two, and has the potential of alienating fans of both.
