Tom, what was your first exposure to Al Ewing's work? He is the main reason I tried out Mighty Avengers, and it has been near the top of my monthly reading stack ever since.
Editor Lauren Sankovitch met him when she was over in the UK visiting Kieron Gillen, and she brought back copies of the collection of his 2000 AD strip ZOMBO.
But really, it was those two issues of AVENGERS ASSEMBLE that he wrote. Lauren hired him for those, and they were impressive.
