  • In the same vein as the questions you've been fielding about "official" Avengers membership--- can you speak to similar splitting-of-hairs for the X-Men? Around the Secret Invasion/Utopia era things got pretty blurry as to who was a member. I always read the "we are all X-Men" thing as sort of an "I am Spartacus" riff, and considered that to be an official X-Man you had to feature in a book with X-MEN in the title. The 2009 NEW MUTANTS team, and the "X-Club" guys were not members. Your thoughts?

    The X-Men aren’t as regimented concerning the membership of their group, as their really an activist organization, and so want and need as many sympathetic members as they can get.
