Hi Tom, When you work with a competitor or licensor to do an in-continuity, inter-company cross-over can't you negotiate usage of the stories for reprints. I realize each case has different needs. There are many examples, but I'm specifically thinking of "Marvel Zombies Vs. Army of Darkness" which was a prequel Marvel Zombies story but was left out of the Marvel Zomnibus, which was published in 2012. The TPB and HC have been out of print for a few years. I suppose you could try, but it’s a very untenable proposition. The needs of each organization will change over time, and even the people who oversee it will come and go. And you have to consider the flipside as well–I wouldn’t want to do a deal with a company that let them reprint a Spider-Man project we did with them any time they wanted to–that could foul up something else for me down the line.
